Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search form is passed to the third-party provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains the information in that message and is used to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Hosting systems may create routine logs such as IP address, browser type, page requests, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the service and understand general traffic. Cookies or comparable tools can support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the service, address technical issues, measure broad traffic patterns, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links may lead to county and state portals, archives, library collections, or outside search services. Their own privacy terms apply once information is submitted there. That includes sponsored-result tools operated by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the limited logs needed to provide the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatically collected information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it.
Security Practices
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. Because there are no user accounts, the service does not hold an account password or personal profile for visitors.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Requests
You may ask about information this service retains or request removal where applicable through the Contact page. The New York SHIELD Act, General Business Law ยง899-aa, addresses safeguards and breach notifications for covered private information; it does not create a general right to delete a public record. Government records are controlled by their custodian, so a correction or removal request for one must go to the office that holds it.
Changes to This Policy
Updates will appear on this page. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
